Year 6 girls go to Wembley

The Year 6 girls went to Wembley Arena, recently, to watch the Hockey National Indoor Finals. They immediately got into the spirit, on arrival, playing some quick stick hockey outside, as they waited for the doors to open. After meeting the England mascots Jasper and Jess, the girls made themselves comfortable in their seats, ready to watch the men’s semi-finals. There was some ‘edge of the seat’ action, especially in the second semi-final where they witnessed Canterbury scoring in the last two seconds, to win the match. Before the finals, they had the opportunity to get some autographs from the teams, including a few of the England players.

A great day was had by all, and it has further inspired our budding hockey stars of the future.
