Introducing ‘Young Art in the Park’

We are delighted to announce Young Art in the Park, which is taking place for the first time in 2015. In partnership with Sir Harold Hillier Gardens, Hampshire Collegiate School, other local schools, artists and conservation groups, the aim of the project is to inspire children and adults alike to see the connection between people and nature in a new, creative light.

The event will comprise every participating school having an ‘installation site’ in the grounds of HCS for them to set up a single large artwork or collection of pieces, which will create an ‘art trail’ for all pupils, carers, parents and grandparents to explore on the 26 April 2015.

An independent panel of judges will award prizes for the best entrants in different categories.  In addition to this exciting project, Sir Harold Hillier Gardens will be hosting some of the artwork in their beautiful gardens for two months after the April event, giving even more people the opportunity to see the children’s work, and in a wonderful new setting.
