Standing Room Only!

The second performance of ‘Into the Woods’ did not disappoint. Rave reviews followed from the sell out show which took place at the Plaza Theatre, Romsey, on 29 & 30 January.

HCS pupils gave a magical performance of the imaginative adventure by Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine, told through Grimm’s fairy tales. As the intricate plot unfolded, the childless baker and his wife, cursed by the wicked witch, set off into the woods in hopes of ridding themselves of the witch’s evil spell. Whilst there they encountered a number of fairy tale characters who were all attempting to realise wishes of their own.

The production was an extravaganza of colour, music and talent. Students (and staff) throughout the school, were involved in the acting, set design, stage management, costumes and lighting.
