Nursery go all Healthy!

We set our role play area up as a fruit and vegetable shop with real fruit and vegetables.  The children were really good at trying all the different types of fruit, even if they thought they didn't like them, to decide which was their favourite.  The winner by a unanimous vote was the banana!  As a healthy snack the children then made banana smoothies.  Using a knife, they each chopped a banana into small pieces which they placed into a jug with some milk.  They watched the blender chop up the bananas into a delicious smoothie. "The banana is squishy!" said William.  Finley said "I chopped the banana all the way through!" and Miles said "It's delicious!" as he very happily licked his lips!
