HCS Hosts Oxbridge Conference

On Wednesday HCS hosted its thirteenth annual Oxbridge conference. 75 Year 11 and Year 12 students and 12 teaching staff from five schools enjoyed two hours of presentations, questions and responses aimed at de-mystifying the Oxford and Cambridge admissions processes.

Delegates were fascinated to learn about the differences between the Universities, the Faculties and the Colleges. Representing Cambridge was Terri-Leigh Riley and from Oxford, Victoria Sargent. The event was thoroughly appreciated by students and staff alike and their awareness of the whole admissions process was greatly enhanced.

HCS Year 12 pupil Hattie said: ‘It was really informative. It was interesting to be able to compare the different universities. I think the information will be really helpful when I do my application.’
