Nursery Study Growth in Seeds

Nursery started with looking at primroses and what the effects were with watering one and not the other. They very quickly made the connection that without watering the plant, it quickly withered and didn't look very healthy at all!  The children are now looking at cress seeds, having planted them using three different types of material; paper towel, cotton wool and microfibre sheets.  Joseph was concerned there was no soil so didn't think those seeds would grow.  Erica really hoped we would see the flowers first but most of the other Nursery children said the stem would be the first part of the plant to grow! Having also grown runner beans, the children are really excited to see the results of their cress plants!
