HCS Golf Team Qualify for National Finals

HCS Senior Boys' golf team have qualified for the Independent Schools Golf Association (ISGA) national finals for the third year running.

The team won a hard fought contest against Winchester College on Wednesday 14th March at South Winchester Golf Club by a margin of two matches to one. Arrun (Year 13) led the team off and was never behind in his match, running out a comfortable 5 & 3 winner. Henry (Year 12) put in an exceptional performance to win his match 6 & 4. Rick (Year 7) belied his youth and battled gamely against a much older opponent, eventually losing out on a score of 3 & 2.

The team will now contest the national finals at Princes and Royal St Georges Golf Clubs in April. This event is a showcase of the finest junior golfers in the UK and the HCS boys are confident they can not only compete, but also bring home some silverware!
