First Event for HCS Ski Racing Team

On Monday 24th April, history was made at HCS with our ski racing team competing in their first event.

The team travelled to Hemel Hempstead Snow Centre to take part in the British Independent Schools Ski Racing Competition. The HCS team comprised four boys from Year 8 and Year 10 who were very excited at the prospect of a new experience and the opportunity to represent the school at such a highly competitive event.

Every member of the team produced some solid runs and came away pleased with their times and final standings. With 138 competitors taking part on the day, HCS pupils managed to finish an impressive 3rd overall in the U18 competition and 17th, 18th, and 19th in the U16 competition. The team finished 7th overall. It was a great day and one that inspired the boys to want to compete on a regular basis.
