Nursery Having Fun with Fairies

The children enjoyed making their own sandwiches, cutting them into different shapes and making invitations for a Fairy Garden Party in the Explorers' Garden.  The role play area was creatively turned into fairy garden; a sensory area with fairly lights, musical instruments, mirror shapes and dressing up!  The week ended with a walk in our wonderful woodland grounds searching for fairies.  The children and staff dressed up as fairies and elves (and a hungry caterpillar!) and collected flowers from the rhododendrons and azaleas.  It was with great excitement that the children found a fairy door but sadly the fairies were out.  After a refreshing snack on Florence's bench they wandered back to school, tired but very happy!
