Hampshire Collegiate School welcomes new deputy head and members of staff
Collegiate School welcomes its pupils back at the start of the academic year,
it is also pleased to announce the appointment of a number of new members of staff.
José Picardo has been
appointed Deputy Head. José joins Hampshire Collegiate School from Surbiton
High School, where he was Assistant Principal and a modern languages teacher.
He is fellow of the Royal Society of Arts and the recipient of a Pearson
There have been
several senior promotions within the school: Steven Bowyer has been promoted to
Assistant Head of Academic, Leah Goodey to Assistant Head of Pastoral and
Brionny Luxton is the Senior School’s Head of Art and Design Technology.
The Senior School has a new Head of History, David Chinnock, and joint
Heads of Boarding are Johnathan McCredie and Isabelle Hopwood. Charlotte White
joins the Prep School as a reception teacher.
Canning, commented: “The start of any new academic is always exciting, but this
year is particularly so. We have some extraordinary new talent who have joined
our outstanding team and this will only further our ability to provide every
one of our pupils with the best education - enabling our students to achieve
their academic ambitions, develop as confident and well-rounded individuals and
prepare for university and their future careers."
Elsewhere around the
school, new faces include: Major Richard Amey has been appointed as Bursar
(Richard was previously Head of Logistics at House of Fraser) and Charlotte
Welland joins as Director of Marketing, Admissions & Communications (Charlotte
has led a number of marketing and communication functions in large
organisations, including PwC LLP).
