Should children in schools play tackle rugby? It’s a long-running debate and the topic hit the headlines last week following the publication of a report that is encouraging the elimination of contact from the school game completely. Hampshire Collegiate School’s Head of Rugby, Tom Cleary, shares his thoughts.

On Wednesday the Rugby U16s 7s travelled to KES to take part in the Hampshire 7s. We are delighted that the boys performance improved as the tournament progressed and at the end of the day where crowned Hampshire Plate winners, after winning 35-5 in the final.

Congratulations to the HCS senior golf team who have won the Independent School Golf Association (ISGA) South West Regional competition. The team played Truro School at Exeter golf club and won 2 1/2 - 1/2.
