Thirty pupils from Years 6 & 7 enjoyed a fantastic day at Sir Harold Hillier Gardens, Romsey on Tuesday with the opportunity to work with internationally acclaimed willow artist Tom Hare.

We caught up with Annie, a Year 13 boarder, who is studying A level Art, to talk about her life-size artwork.Annie is currently doing a project about Shakespeare and the drawing is a costume design for Ariel from ‘The Tempest’.

Last week, HCS hosted two student sessions for 150 Year 11 and Year 12 students, from a dozen local independent and state schools, about applying for a place at Oxford or Cambridge.

HCS was proud to field a public speaking team at the Rotary 'Youth Speaks' competition on Wednesday 11 February. The competition was a great success and the HCS team came an admirable second place against some stiff opposition local teams.

The second performance of ‘Into the Woods’ did not disappoint. Rave reviews followed from the sell out show which took place at the Plaza Theatre Romsey on 29 & 30 January.
