During the summer term, pupils at HCS have numerous opportunities to practice, challenge and compete in Athletics. All pupils are encouraged to take part in athletics club activities after school, whilst their core PE lessons also focus on key techniques. HCS staff are committed to developing excellence in our athletes and we have been proud of the achievements gained in recent years.

HCS regularly send high numbers of pupils to trial for the Andover District team. We have been delighted with the numbers of pupils being selected to represent in the Hampshire Schools’Athletic Association championships.

The vast grounds at HCS mean that our pupils are able to practice their running events on our full size track. We also have a number of throwing circles, a long jump pit and high jump facilities.
