Information Technology

In today’s world, where IT is constantly changing, individuals will increasingly need technological and information literacy skills.

Studying A Level IT will develop your ability to become a more effective and discerning user of IT. It will help develop a broad range of IT skills, knowledge and understanding. Students will study the structure and use of IT systems within a wide range of organisations, including the use of a variety of computer networks. As a result, students will gain an understanding of IT system life cycles, and how these affect the workplace. You will also learn about the wider impact of IT on society in general, as well as simple programming for the web relevant to your own use of IT.

This A Level is an ideal foundation for you if you want to pursue IT at degree level, or as a career and is a relevant foundation for many careers in the world of business.  It will enable you to develop the essential skills needed to apply IT to the real world, for example presentation and project management skills.
