At HCS we have space to bring out the best in everyone in so many different ways. Our 130 acre site is simply beautiful, not just because of the extensive sports facilities, but also with 22 acres of grade 1 listed woodland which is being brought back to the way it was in the 1860s with involvement of our students. Both the Japanese Garden and the Alpine Garden with imported limestone from Ireland have been zones of research, we have found the original porcelain markers so we can re-plant the latter exactly as it had been in the days of Florence Nightingale. Bullfield Farm is being developed as a small farm for students of all ages, and provides a new centre for the development of equestrian programmes and events. The effects of beautiful surroundings on young people is profound, many say the beauty which surrounds an individual helps to bring out the beauty within individuals in many creative ways.
