About Boarding at HCS

 "New Boarders are helped to settle into the school by positive staff and a warm and friendly boarding community.  Boarders reported they are made to feel very welcome when they start boarding and this helps them to settle quickly" Ofsted Boarding House Inspection Report November 2010 

The boarding house provides a uniquely balanced environment, offering a relaxed and friendly atmosphere within an organised and disciplined structure.  Boarders have regular, supervised prep time to compete their work and they benefit from immediate access to resources such as the library and the Internet.  When they need help, staff and peers are on hand to support and assist.

Boarders are well fed in the school's spacious modern dining room, where they enjoy a variety of healthy hot dishes, salads, puddings and fresh fruit.  Themed evenings such as Halloween, Chinese New Year and Valentine's Day mean that delicious food is combined with lots of fun.  Tuck and healthy snacks are available in the boarding house at certain times.
