Accommodation

Most of our accommodation is located within the main house, the childhood home of Florence Nightingale, and many of the rooms have superb views across the country estate.  In conjunction with this, a suite of recently refurbished single and double rooms at the opposite end of the house offers a modern feel and a contrasting alternative.  Accommodation is arranged in both single rooms and small dormitories, so boarders are likely to experience both a sense of camaraderie and relative privacy.

The Nightingale Room, the boarders' main living room, is tastefully furnished and full of period charm, as well as offering the modern comforts of a wide screen TV, DVD player and a home cinema.  This is in addition to our separate common rooms for boys and girls which are equipped with HD TVs and games consoles, providing a more private area for relaxation.  There is a kitchen facility, where boarders can prepare snacks and drinks in the evenings and at weekends.  There are also facilities for table tennis, pool and darts, creating popular social spaces.
