Early Years

The Aims of the Early Years Department

The Nursery and the Reception class make up our Early Years Department.  Here we provide the warm, caring atmosphere and stimulating environment which is so vital in these early years.

We aim to make the children feel safe and happy as they participate in activities that seek to build their self confidence.  It is important for the children to not feel pressurised at a very young age and above all the learning process should be fun.

  • At HCS we focus on the individual.
  • We believe that every child has special qualities - it is our responsibility to define and refine these.
  • We support a broad vision of excellence for our children and our teachers.
