The Sixth Form students took time out to organise a charity fashion show here at HCS last Friday 12 March. It took place in the Atherley Hall and Students modelled outfits by, among others, local designer Britt Beale, and from the evening dress store “Where Did She Get That?”. They also modelled garments they had recycled from charity shops, clothes donated by Naomi House and the Red Cross.
The show was be attended by special VIPs, and there were performances by the school’s Jazz Band, Super Vixen (the school rock group), and the boy’s singing group.
The evening was a huge success and it is exciting to be able to relate that the Fashion Show has raised to date a stunning £946.60 for Naomi House. Katrina Verdon-Roe joined us in Senior School Assembly to hand out certificates and to receive the cheque.
Principal, Mr Hector MacDonald said "The whole evening was wonderful, created and organised by the students in the Sixth Form, and inclusive of students of all ages, all of whom showed their creative flair! Thanks go to Mrs Di Birch for her tireless efforts facilitating the whole event. It is a wonderful precedent to build upon."
