We hope you enjoy the Sixth Form experience at HCS. You can expect to join a friendly, purposeful environment in which you will take more responsibility for your studies, develop independent work habits and also have opportunities to hone and refine your personal interests.

The Sixth Form represents a vital staging post in your education, your career and, ultimately, the future path of your life. With that in mind, we will support you in deciding your educational or vocational path via careers guidance and offer good advice to help you achieve the grades you need.

There is a bigger picture to Sixth Form study. Your success will depend upon your ability to be self-disciplined and self-motivated with your studies, qualities which you will need in the world of work. The great advantage of the Sixth Form at HCS is the support offered to make an effective transition from GCSE study and the help we can provide in adjusting to the demands of advanced learning.

Being able to effectively manage your time will enable you to invest more energy into your other interests and, hopefully, the overall life of the school. Your contribution to the harmony of the school will be enormously important.
