Big Schools’ Birdwatch

Year 5 recently took part in the RSPB’s Big Schools’ Birdwatch 2018. They spent an hour observing and recording the birds that visited sunflower heads hung on trees in front of the Prep School. The children also used the school’s birdcam to monitor visits to the bird feeders. An amazing variety of birds were recorded from blackbirds, starlings and black-headed gulls to blue tits, robins and magpies. Year 5 were incredibly enthusiastic and also created some fantastic bird drawings.
