Excitement filled the air last Friday as pupils and staff at the Prep School participated in a spotty themed charity day. Pupils from School Council had voted to support the Children in Need charity and this led to various fundraising events throughout the school day including a spotacular themed non-uniform day, decorate a spot competition and a bake off style challenge.

The highlight of the day for everyone was the bake off challenge. Following the success of last year’s event, over 70 children took part in last week’s competition. A great array of baked goodies arrived at school and our Head Chefs were given the difficult task of judging; taste, appearance and creativity were all taken into consideration. Cakes were then sold at break times throughout the day.

Thank you to everyone who kindly supported this charity event, we are proud to announce that a grand total of £572.35 was raised at Hampshire Collegiate Prep School.

Elsewhere in school, Katie (Year 8) independently chose to raise money for Children in Need. She completed a 24-hour sponsored silence and raised an amazing £164 for the charity. Well done!
