Admissions

Joining from Abroad

Hampshire Collegiate School has a long standing tradition of welcoming students from all over the world. Our international students make a major contribution to our community and we welcome applications for our Senior School and Sixth Form. We work with families and agents to ensure the smoothest admissions process and we hold a UKVI Tier 4 Sponsorship Licence which means we are able to sponsor non-EEA nationals in obtaining their visas to study at our school.

Due to high demand, please apply as early as possible to secure a place. However, places can become available at any time, so please contact us to check.

Language level guidelines

We expect our international students to be at a certain language level, depending on the year they intend to join Hampshire Collegiate School. We use the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR) or the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) for languages. Our minimum requirements are as follows:

Year 7 – 10 CEFR B1
Year 11 CEFR B2
Pre-A Level CEFR B2 or IELTS 5.0
Year 12 CEFR B2 or IELTS 5.5 in all skills

For students who are not fluent English speakers or writers when they arrive, we provide tailored English as an Additional Language (EAL) support to meet their individual needs so that they can enjoy and fully benefit from the pace of learning at Hampshire Collegiate School.
