Year 3 had a great day trip to Fishbourne Roman Palace and Gardens last week. They were able to send messages to each other as the Romans would have done and make mosaic patterns similar to those which were found during the excavation of the palace. In addition, they had a chance to grind wheat to make flour then tasted Roman food. A highlight of the day was dressing up as a Roman soldier and being taken to the Roman army by a centurion. A great day was had by all; this trip has brought the Year 3 Roman topic to life!
