This week is the Boarding Schools Association (BSA) National Boarding Week and boarders at Hampshire Collegiate School have enjoyed taking part in a number of fun activities to celebrate life as a boarder.

A ‘Big Boarding Sleep’ took place on Tuesday and Wednesday, when new Year 7 and Year 9 students had the opportunity to experience a night in boarding.

There was great delight as a huge (85ft) inflatable obstacle course was installed in the Sports Hall for Tuesday night and Wednesday was ‘Movie Night’ in the Manor House. Everyone enjoyed watching the new ‘Mary Poppins’ film accompanied by heaps of popcorn.

On Thursday there was wall to wall laughter as boarders and boarding staff alike took part in a ‘Guess the Baby competition’. The fun is set to continue throughout the weekend with a Bingo evening and a ‘Great British Bake Off’ competition.
