This week, we held our International University Conference for internal and external Year 11 and 12 students. It was a great success and we welcomed the Student World Study Abroad Roadshow and three expert guest speakers. The speakers not only had valid experience themselves of studying and working abroad, which the students showed great interest in, but they also spoke about studying abroad during UK degrees, studying the liberal arts and what options are available for English-speaking students in the top 50 European universities.
The Roadshow enabled the students to speak with and consider up to 17 highly regarded universities from across Europe, Asia, Canada and the US, including:
- Arizona State University, USA – ranked within the top 1% of the world’s universities and #1 in the US for innovation
- Delft University of Technology, Netherlands – among the top 100 universities in the world (#63 in the Times Higher Education World Rankings 2018)
- Ecole Hôtelière de Lausanne – the #1 Hospitality and Management Education Institution in the world outside of the US
- Hong Kong University (School of Business) – a publicly funded research-intensive liberal arts university whose business school programmes have won international recognition from the Association of MBAs (AMBA) and the European Foundation for Management Development, among others.
