Students, parents and staff at Hampshire Collegiate School (which will be known as ‘Embley’ from 1 September) are celebrating the best set of A level results in the school’s history. Last year, the school achieved its best set of A Levels in years and the latest set of results see a further year-on-year increase. Of the 100% of school leavers who passed their A Levels, 53% achieved A*, A or B and 79% achieved A*, A, B or C.
Top grades were seen across many academic subjects. For example, over half of all A Level leavers studied A Level Mathematics and 100% achieved A*, A or B and 100% of all Economics and Extended Project Qualification (EPQ) students achieved A* or A.
Cliff Canning, Headmaster, commented: “We are an authentic school, offering a broad balanced curriculum, and we are very proud of our students and these outstanding results. They show what perseverance and tremendous hard work combined with exceptional teaching and support can achieve.”
From September 2019, Hampshire Collegiate School will have a new name and visual identity. The school will be called Embley and the new identity is reflective of the school’s academic ambition for its children such that every individual has the self-belief to achieve their personal best.
